Should I Edit Social Media Photos to Reflect My Company?

Social Media Photos

As an entrepreneur, you already know how important brand awareness is for your overall marketing and success rate. Customers want to invest in businesses that they know and are familiar with. So a great way to get your name out there is with brand recognition. One of the easiest and fastest ways to do this is over social media.

More than half of potential buyers look at a company’s social media accounts before they make contact. This includes your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and so on. If you don’t already have any of these pages for your customers to look at, your first step is to create them. When a business isn’t active on social media, it leads the customer to think that they either aren’t providing services anymore, or they aren’t credible. So once you do have your social media accounts live, it’s time to get your brand out there. This is where edited photos come in.

Any custom picture that you post on your social media should be edited to reflect your company with at least one of the following:
– Logo
– Colors
– Signature
– Mascot

Now let’s break that down! First brand your social media by placing your business’ logo in the corner of each custom picture. Then fade the logo so it’s a subtle watermark and doesn’t distract from the photo itself. This is a great way to spread awareness and familiarity amongst viewers. Your logo will always be in the back of their mind so that you’re the first business they think of when they need services in your industry.

Also edit your social media photos to include your company’s colors. At Printing Solutions, for example, we are represented with yellow and blue. This scheme is reflected on our Facebook page and other social media accounts. Again, editing your pictures to reflect your business’ brand spreads awareness so that customers not only recognize you, but remember you when they need your most.

Finally, you can even add a stamp of your signature or mascot for more of a personal touch from your business. This is great for pictures of your team, office, events, and so on.

A couple of our favorite photo editing tools include PicMonkey and Canva. Both of these are free to use and provide tutorials with a help center. Photo editors make it super simple to drop in your business logo, adjust resolution and color focus, and so much more.

Overall, editing your photos for social media is a great marketing strategy to build brand awareness. That way, whenever your statuses and pictures are shared, your business gains even more exposure from an entirely new audience. Customers don’t invest unless they know their money is being put somewhere they can trust. Creating a strong social media presence that complements your brand helps build that credibility.
